I've always been a voracious reader, and when the idea dawned that I could combine two great literary loves - Agatha Christie, and F Scott Fitzgerald - The Gatsby Gambit was born! Like many people, I'm captivated by the glamour and of the Jazz Age, and also the shadowy side of history. My debut novel, The Gatsby Gambit, dives into the glitzy yet perilous world we know so well from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. In it, I’ve taken the elegance, mystery, and complexity of 1920s Long Island and woven in a murder that I hope will keep readers on the edge of their seats!

Something else that I really wanted to achieve was to bring in a wider awareness and sensibility for the community that we don't see in F Scott Fitzgerald's world - the people outside that particular bubble of privilege. I found it fascinating to imagine and research what sort of lives they might have led. I hope you'll enjoy reading about them, too. 

And of course, I hope you enjoy my irrepressible young heroine, Greta Gatsby, younger sister to the notorious Jay. Writing Greta into being was a great joy, and though the ghost of F Scott Fitzgerald might be a little surprised to discover her existence, I hope he would find her quite charming all the same!
